Dave & Marge’s ‘57

I joined Nomads of Long Beach in Feb. of 1972, which became California Nomads later that same year, and I was driving a 56 Nomad at the time. It was stolen in May and I found a 57 that needed an engine. I fixed it up and drove it for several years and started a better restoration.

In Jan. of 76 I bought the 57 Nomad that I now own, it was black lacquer, black button tuck interior, 283 powerglide, with the corvette injection unit that is still working. In 78 just before the convention in Casper, Wyoming, I put in a 350 with the same injection unit and put over 125,000 miles before changing back to a 283 using the same injection. My car had a black and silver interior [not a stock one] in the mid 80's and was painted the original two tone blue in the early 90's.

The Nomad has been the conduit to many enjoyable times and trips, plus countless friendships all across our country and New Zealand.
